Raw Honey Latte | Simple But Sweet!

Its fall, which means its time to start experimenting with hot espresso drinks! 🙂 My personal favorite is a Caramel Cream Latte(which I will share the recipe to once I have the time to make the caramel sauce) but, as of late,  raw honey lattes have been the second best thing. I couldn’t stand the idea of honey in coffee until I finally gave it a try. Once I tried it, I was hooked! Sweet and smooth, raw honey makes one delicious latte!

  1. Pour hot espresso in mug, add honey and vanilla. Stir!
  2. Pour slightly foamed milk on top
  3. Sit back and enjoy! (:

Do you have an espresso maker? If so, do you like yours and can you recommend one? Tera bought me this really nifty battery powered milk frother at Bed, Bath and Beyond. Works great!

      I absolutely love mr coffee’s espresso maker( https://www.google.com/shopping/product/12463962179569987877?q=mr%20coffee%20espresso%20machine&hl=en&client=safari&prmd=imvns&biw=320&bih=371&sa=X&ei=95VnUKPMFejW2AWPvYHwBA&ved=0CGYQ8wIwAg#hsec:overview )
I have had really expensive espresso machines before but they didn’t last any longer than a few months and replacement parts were super pricey. My family bought me the espresso machine I linked to above at Walmart for around $40 five years ago and it just now stopped working(believe me, with so many coffee drinkers in the house, it was used nonstop). So I purchased the same machine…. actually 2 of them. 🙂 one for our office and one for the kitchen. The only thing is it has the milk frothier built in, which you won’t need with the hand held frother. I think mr coffee carries just the espresso maker without the frithing nossle. if so, i would recommend their brand. Hope this is helpful!!! 🙂

Yes. Very helpful. The price is great, too. Thank you. Now is there a particular brand of espresso that you recommend? : )

Rita maya organic Roast! We have been buying off their site in bulk for a few years. It is one of the best tasting organic roasts I have found and really reasonably priced for organic!

I bought the espresso maker today…I’ll try it out tomorrow. : ) I bought some Gavalia espresso coffee and I’m wondering if you have to use espresso and why? I am a medium roast coffee drinker and I just add whole milk or half and half…no sugar. I don’t know anything about espresso.

Yay!! You will have to let me know how you like the machine. 🙂
To be completely honest, I hardly ever buy espresso roast. We are medium roast drinkers too and since we have so much of it, I usually just grind my medium roast finer. It taste just as good as espresso roast to me! 🙂

I tried the espresso maker and ended up returning it. After running water through it several times and then trying coffee in it several times with several different tasters we all decided it tasted burnt or like a new appliance electric burn…I don’t know. So I’m back to brewing my coffee the way I used to and using the nifty hand held milk foamer. Just ordered some of those coffee beans from Rita Maya. 🙂

Hmmm…. That is strange! Well, brewed coffee is just as delicious and lower in caffeine anyways. 🙂 Hope you enjoy the coffee as much as we do!
